Hello fellow bloggers! Today I'm linking up with The Vintage Apple for Oh How Pinteresting.
But first, I wanted to share some goodies with you guys!
So I'm one of those fortunate young ladies to have an amazingly, wonderful and classy, grandmother (a.k.a Memaw).
She is one of those people that I, as a 23 year old, can sincerely have a good time with. She is comical to be around, and if you come over to her house, you can bet your bottom dollar she is going to try and offer you some sort of food. She's hip (she totally beat me out, getting an Ipad before me, though it is kind of funny because my sister and I had to help teach her how to use it LOL), she's classy, and she is one of the most caring and loving people I know. She will always look for the best in people, no matter how bad they seem to be.
I've been blessed with wonderful memories growing up with her and my pop! They had this house, that I've always been in love with. It's funny because I remember walking into their house when I was little, and there was this smell that I loved. Not a bad smell, but it's a smell that stuck out to me and told me, "hey, this is memaw and papaw's house". That may sound weird, but I can walk into their house now, and it is the same exact smell. It's a smell I know I'll never find anywhere else, which, as weird as it sounds, makes it that much more precious. Then they owned this big patch of land with some rental trailers (which all the renters were practically family and therefore nemesis because they always snitched on us lol)... We called it "The Trailer Park" when we were little, like it was special and the only one Ha-Ha! You know how kids are...
But we had free roam of the place, and in our heads we owned it, which is I guess how we seen all of their stuff. During the summer, I lived over at their house. Me and my little cousin got into anything and everything and I swear, if we'd have tried it, could have gotten away with murder there.
Anyways, I totally went sentimental, now back to the point...
My memaw is a giver. She is constantly going through stuff and giving things away. She'll call me, my sister, my mom, and if not us, then someone else, and tell us we can come look at whatever and if we want it, then we can have it. In fact, it was her and my pop who gave me my amazing bookshelf (heaven for me and my books), and my kitchen table; free of charge. The only thing we had to do was move it.
So yesterday when my mom was over at her house, she was giving a few things away, and had this super cute red bag (I love big bags), and a mini straighter (something I've been talking to my mom about needing). My mom mentions that I would definitely love that bag and I had been talking about one of those straighteners...
So what does my Memaw do? She sends it to me through my mom...
I seriously have the best Memaw in the world....
Now onto OHP!
