Oh How Time Flies....

Hello everyone!

So I'm sitting at my mom's house at this particular moment, something I've been doing a lot the past few days. In fact, I've practically felt like I've been living back over here since I've been off work. I'm surprised my mom hasn't told me to GO HOME! (ha-ha)

So I had fifty million things going through my head about what I wanted to post , since the last few days have been filled with so many things that I've wanted to share...

but then I realized something...

There is one more day of 2012 left, and then the year is over.
365 days have past in a blur.
There have been good and bad times
I've cried and laughed
I've grown older with each day
And yet, I feel as If I'm still the same in so many ways.

Every time a new year comes, I become somewhat melancholy.
I wish I had one of those minds that could recall every single detail of every single moment
But in reality, when you live, you have so much in your mind that some of those details are lost
At least in mine it is...

I can't say I will miss some parts of this year.
Sadly, not every moment was good
But there are moments I'll look back on in 2012 and smile fondly
I may even cry because it's sad how fast life goes by
I look at my life, and how I have been married over a year
I look at my brother and sister, no longer the kids they used to be
I look at their kids, who have seemed to have just shot up in age with just one blink
I remember when each of them were born
I remember their laughs and a lot of their firsts
It makes me want to pull each of them in and squeeze them tight
Life goes so fast... and some times we take it for granted without even realizing it.

I thought, instead of doing my usual posts, I would do some of the high lights from my life in 2012
It isn't all of them by far, but just a few that I'll look back on fondly, remembering how I felt in the moment, remembering my love for my family, my friends... and thanking God for each second he gives me to have with them.

I'm not one to go out and party on New Years Eve.
I could honestly care less about going anywhere
The thing I love to do most on New Years Eve is to spend time with those that I'm closest to
So tonight, as we light the bonfire and munch on hamburgers and french fries, I'll look at the face of each person around me (my husband, parents, sister, cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews), and I'll thank God for each of them, for the time he's given me with each, and for love that is shared between us.

I hope everyone has a happy (and safe) New Years!
God Bless

It's OK

Hello everyone!

 Happy Thursday!

I'm squeezing in a little bit of time to do my favorite link-up!

Its Ok Thursdays

It's OK

...To be at work for a few hours on my 2 weeks Christmas break (The extra hours are nice)

...To have things not go the way you want them (Sometimes you just have to go with the flow)

...That I had a fantabulous Christmas

...That I'm missing painting my shed right now (maybe there will be something left for me to paint when I get home)

...To look forward to spending more time with my husband

...That I already have all my Christmas stuff taken down and packed up for the year

...To love my present so much that I will basically snap pictures of anything

...To have literally only picked up my laptop once since I've been off work

... To realize I'm going to have a lot of pics to print off and it has only been two days since I got my camera

...To want to go and see The Hobbit super bad!

... To like the fact that a pair of jeans I owned that had gotten too snug actually fit nicely (Don't know how that happened)

...That I hate my fax/copy/scan machine! It's way too slow!

What's OK on YOUR Thursday?!? :)

Christmas...Come and Gone

Hello Everyone!

Christmas is offially over. It is 12:30 a.m. as I'm writing this blog, and it is the first time I've written a blog in nearly five or six days. I know, I've been a total slacker. However, after being on a computer 8 hours a day, five days a week at work, I found I really didn't have much desire to drag my laptop out, plug it up, turn on the hotspot, etc. I've found myself just snuggling with my husband at night instead of reaching for the computer or finding something else to do.

Now that the Christmas business is over, I'm sitting down to write my first blog about my holiday cheer!

Christmas has felt really strange for me. And to be totally honest, it didn't feel like Christmas at all. So many things are different this year, and on top of it all, time has felt as if has been in warp mode. I still had a good time though. Christmas eve day was spent wrapping my husband's Christmas presents and helping my memaw and mom with goodies for Christmas day. That evening was spent with my parents and husband visiting my great, great aunt (a.k.a Nannie) and then we hit Walmart for some last minute grocery items, before heading home to cook dinner and trade gifts with my husband.

My husband bought me a Nikon CoolPix L310

I'm so in love with this baby! I've been snapping pictures non-stop since I opened it!
Along with it, he got me a 16 gigabyte SD card!
Needless to say, I'm super stoked about my gift!

For my husband, I bought him his own small wood burner with a variety of tips.
He likes doing woodwork, and would eventually like to have his own small shop in a shed of ours. I told him he had to start small, so I bought him his first piece.

I also bought him the RealTree AP floor mats and steering wheel cover!

And yes... these were taken by my new, super cool camera!
Though, the first few were kind of ehh... I was still trying to figure out the flash LOL.

Christmas Day started off right....

Pancakes, eggs, grits, sausage... YUM!

Wade and I went up to my mom and dad's and helped cook breakfast and invited my papaw over and all shared a yummy breakfast together! From there we did...nothing. Not until my sister got there.

After a little more "nothing", we finally started getting dressed for dinner at my Memaw's.
It was so much quieter than previous Christmas parties at my Memaw's, but it was no less enjoyable.

My sister and I switched off doing each other's make up. Then I did my mom's makeup and my sis, Rach, done my mom's and my hair. I had a blast doing their makeup. It is something I seriously just enjoy doing.

Here are a few pics from our evening!

Our night ended with a game of domino's! We went home, got in our pj's, and pulled out the tin box of domino's! You can't go wrong with a game with the family when you are tired. Everything is funny when you are exhausted!

Hope everyone has a great Christmas!!! :)

It's OK

Hello again everyone!

I hope everyone is having a fantastic week!

Today Is my first official day off of work for the next 14 days, and I'll tell ya, I'm stoked!

As usual things have been kind of busy with Christmas parties, worship practices, making more peanut brittle, etc, and then I've just battling some emotional things, which is the reason I've been slacking on my blogging, this week, but I'm back again for my favorite link-up!

Some of you may have noticed my new blog design! Doesn't it look fabulous?!? One of my bestest and oldest friend done it for me and made me a button. Yes, I finally have a button LOL! Anyways, big thanks to Michelle from My Simple Life... Make sure you check out her blog! :)

Its Ok Thursdays

It's OK

...That I slept until 9:45 this morning. I'm usually up at 7 or 8 on my days off, so I enjoyed getting to sleep in past nine. And I was up until 2 a.m talking to my sister, so I had an excuse

...to feel as If I'm having to start all over again

...to have to silly girls wearing my heels and dancing to the boot scootin' boogie in my living room while I'm typing this lol

...to have no appetite

...to have this picture stuck in your head that you can't get rid of no matter how hard you try

...that my stomach get into knots after every time you think about it (see above)

...to hope that I have daughters as caring and loving as my nieces

...to love the fact that my niece told me she wanted to cut her hair so it could look like mine, though I dissuaded her against it. Her hair is too pretty to cut

...to love painting nails and toe nails with my silly nieces

...to hope that all three of my nieces know when they grow up how beautiful they are without conforming to all the pressures

...to smile even when it hurts

...to feel so hopeless sometimes

...to love my sister and mom with all my heart. I couldn't have asked for better best friends.

... to wish things would change, even though I know that they probably won't.

...to expect the worst, because it never lets you down. #pessimism

...to hope to one day be an optimist

...that I somehow have to learn to let things go and trust, though I'm not sure how to

...to realize that, though,  some things may happen that hurt me, it may just give me the strength I need to push through

...to love the fact that I have enjoyed staying home and cleaning while cooking supper all day

... that I've heard "ree" like fifty times a minute since my nieces have been here lol (I love them)

I hope everyone has a great Thursday!

5 for Five and InstagrAmazing Weekend

Happy Monday Everyone!

I'm super excited. I know you are thinking, it is strange to be excited about Monday.

However,

I only have three days of work this week, and then I am off for 14 days!

YAY!

So today, I'm pulling another double and doing two of my favorite link-ups!

First, I'm linking up with Jenn from Party Of One, for 5 for Five!

PartyOfOne

Last Week...
1. Finish planning 12 days of Christmas
I so did this! I got it finished and typed up!

2. Study Study Study!
Yay! I did this too! I didn't do as well on my Macro Final as I'd hoped, but I still got a B in the class! WoooHoo!

3. Finish my Christmas Decorating
I have pretty much done all I can do with the money that I have. I had wanted to do a few more things, but I needed to spend money to do that! lol

4. Workout AT LEAST 2 times
This was a definite No go..... *sigh*

5. Pick out which book I'm going to buy for myself!
My husband took me to Barnes and Nobles! I'd already had in mind what I wanted and when I got there it was 50% off! :)

This Week....

1. Get Ready for Christmas Party at Work
It's tomorrow and I need to get my but in gear!

2. Finish Ornaments
For my sister's kids (3 of my monkeys), I'm making individualized, homemade ornaments for them! So I need to get them finished and wrapped!

3. Wrap presents
For my brother's kids (my other 3 monkeys)

4. Start Crocheting my Blanket
I started working on a blanket for my sister this past summer, and just got so caught up in everything else when school started that I haven't worked on it in months. It's long over due!

5. Get my Husbands last gift and parents gifts!
I've gotten only two.... I want to get at least one more thing for him! Then I have to figure out what to do for both sides of parents... Hmmm

Now I'm linking up with Karla @ Forever Newly Wedded and Nicole @ Grub n Marriage for  An InstagrAmzing Link-Up.

We had an amazingly busy weekend! Friday Started it out with a trip to Thomasville with my husband and I,  my sister, her kids, and our parents. They put on a Victorian Christmas which was so much fun. It was massive, though, and seriously croweded, but we had a blast anyways.

 Parents and three silly monkeys!

 Victorian Hat! :)

Only in Florida do they charge for you to play in the man-made snow

Beautiful Nieces!

 My amazingly, talented Nephew!

Saturday my mom, my sister, and I spent nearly all day in town shopping, which was amazing. Then we had a bonfire that night, where my sister and a great set of friends came over. We ate hamburgers, got monsters & Black Mambas, and played games while laughing our heads off!

Night with Friends and Black Mambas! Bahah!

My husband is thuggin' it! #smh

Thank you Bath and Body works! :) #VanillaBeanNoelCandle

Our busy weekend ended Sunday Night with one of our 12 days of Christmas activities. We ended up doing two, making up for the one we missed Saturday night because we had people over until nearly midnight. Therefore, we bought A Christmas Story and watched it while decorating our Stalkings.

First Stalkings together....

The red paint was being difficult and then blobbed out... He was so not happy! LOL

So I gave him kisses to make him feel better!

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you enjoyed it!
